Colonel Jacob Kane
Jacob Kane has been Kate’s biggest supporter since she started her crimefighting career. As Batwoman’s aid, he’s an anchor, coach, and guide. As a father, he’s supported her decisions since their household went from a family of four to a family of two. Jake respected Kate’s reasons for being kicked out of the West Point and even praised her for being honest with her sexuality. When she explained why she wanted to be a vigilante, he backed her up and made sure she was properly prepared for it (three years of extensive training around the world). What I love about their relationship is that he treats Kate like an adult and never shames her for what she does. Their positive father-daughter bond is a diamond in the rough in mainstream comics, especially where the narrative of their relationship focuses mainly on her and how Jake helps her emotionally in her hour of weakness. Yes, he’s kept immeasurable secrets from Kate that challenges their bond. However, there hasn’t been a single decision he’s made that wasn’t for his daughter’s benefit. Hopefully we figure it out soon.
So here’s a toast to Jacob Kane, for not dying or becoming a supervillain.

we can’t have nothin
See I really want to blame M. Night for it because even if you don’t like Will Smith or his movies you have to admit he is a strong actor and even his bad movies(Independence Day is considered a bad movie even though I like it) And Jaden is also strong actor because both the Pursuit of Happiness and Karate kid did well in theaters(Pursuit of Happiness is super impressive when you consider that he was so young doing it and Karate Kid was too cute with POC couple!)
And M. Night is know for terrible movies. Don’t blame the Smiths, blame him.
the only review I’m actually couting as a real review, the one charlie jane anders did at io9 (imma trust folks at a sci-fi stie to review a sci-fi movie) said it was an okay film so imma assume it was an okay film and go see it
the big criticism I’ve heard are that jaden’s acting is wooden is will is completely unlikeable.
and who doesn’t like independence day?
People say there was plot holes and such but whatever.
The plot holes are minor annoyances, the story still tells well either way. Maybe it came off as more actiony in the trailers. And my problems with M.Night aside. There was a good flow for the way the story is. We see flashbacks for both Cypher and Kitai that give us insight on who they are and what’s made them that way, what’s driving them, and what further influences their development. It had lines here and there that were intentionally funny to cool down the intense feel. I feel there are notes of suspense, which are M.Night’s strong points. And it was necessary. Look at that quote from the movie “Danger is real, fear is a choice,” it is explained more. But thinking of the tone of the movie and how it played out it’s fitting. There is the constant threat of danger, and battles beyond physical means that must be fought and won. I think if anyone is disappointed, they went in expecting action at every turn,ya know their feelings of anti-blackness aside for a sec, I mean we know that’s what’s up, but seriously. Don’t expect action at every second. Suspense, and watery eyes,if not tears will be experienced.
Just so everyone knows, the mod of fuckyeahawkguy is a homophobic, elitist jerk.
He thinks MCU fans should “go to the comic book store and actually read a comic or two” and that he “hate[s] the MCU.” (source, on my blog because he deleted it on the fuckyeahhawkguy blog)
He also “does not support” and refuses to reblog anything relating to Kate/Cassie and Kate/America, arguably, two of the most popular ships in the YA fandom, because he has “never found [them] to be cannon [sic].” (source)
Oh my god, are icky girl parts getting all up in your dude space and making you uncomfortable? Does it bother you that Kate and America and Cassie can have happy, fulfilling sex lives that don’t involve
youra dick?
People are entitled to their opinions. People are entitled to post their opinions on a free blogging website for anyone and everyone to read. But personally, I prefer to follow fanblogs that accept the whole of a character, not just the bits the mod likes the most.
And I thought Fuckyeahhawkguy was a prick because of how they pathetically used to beg for followers in the tags.
As someone who runs a fan blog myself, I can’t think of anything more irritating and annoying.
Good to know I was justified when I unfollowed the attention-whore. And good on you for spreading the news.
DID SHE GIVE YOU THE BITENo, she’s in cahoots with the hunters. I know it.
